Regardless of what one's view of the past is and Mr Gore's effect on it, the fact is that he is one of the most effective communicators of a vital message to every global citizen that must not be clouded or distorted. This is a matter of unprecedented urgency. The luxury of indulging stupid prejudice and cynical ridicule is long past. We must unite and act to prevent the worst of all disasters from eliminating our future as a civil society.
